How many of you made New Year’s resolutions that included “get published more”? While ofBonsai Magazine can’t help you with that whole gym membership thing, when it comes to publishing resolutions I can. In 2011 I’d like to personally encourage you to consider taking the plunge and submitting articles for publication in ofBonsai Magazine.
Should you be writing for ofBonsai Magazine?
There are a few ways you can tell whether or not you’re the right fit for being published at ofBonsai Magazine.
- You have been listed as a professional bonsai artist on Who Is Bonsai, and if you are there, you’re doing what I like and would love something from you!
- You have a bunch of quality photos from your bonsai event travels or progressions shots of your most prized trees. Submit a gallery of shows, demonstrations, workshops, your tree progressions, even places of inspiration!
- You have opinions about something bonsai or have a funny fictional story to tell. If you have them, and they are well-formed, you’re welcome to share them on the editorial pages and our humorous fiction pages.
- You know something that others don’t. Or, maybe more likely, you have an interesting way of explaining a common problem or solution. You can contribute to our techniques section and the bonsai care section.
- If you you are also a video recording aficionado combine the above and record a stunning bonsai video series.
- You know how to get a deal at your local nursery or club/event auction. Share your skills with us in the selecting / purchasing section.
- You consider yourself an expert on a particular species of tree, I can always use more bonsai species care sheets.
I also have an ever-growing review section, where you can share your thoughts and experiences with the latest and greatest bonsai tool, product or event! Alternatively if you have a bonsai product that you would like to be reviewed contact me today!
