Entry #22
Judge #3: No mystery or suggestive feeling as front is too open. Variation in length of bottom two jin would look better. Suggest shortening or removal of top jin.
San Jose Juniper (Juniperus chinensis 'San Jose')
Mexico
50cm (19.6")
Before
This plant comes also from a nursery. I liked this plant for the movement in its trunk, the conicity, enough branches to make a compact bonsai.
One Quarter Progression
The Lower Branches Were Worked As Jins To Give More Personality To The Upper Part Of The Tree. I Choose This Front
Because The Trunk Has Movement. When I Esigned The Crown I Gave It Asymmetry By Making The Branches Fall To The Left Side.
Half Way Progression
This tree was changed to a bonsai pot and i have to refine the branches.
Three Quarter Progression
This tree is potted in a fiberglass bonsai pot made in Mexico. All the branches and leaves were refined and this is the last picture.
Final
