Entry #21
San Jose Juniper (Juniperus chinensis 'San Jose')
Mexico
50cm (19.6") /
Before
This plant comes from a nursery. I choose this plant because as being a juniper coming from a nursery is very thick, healthy and vigours. My idea is to make a compact tree and the lower branches to be worked as dried wood.
One Quarter Progression
We Started Working This Tree And It Has Two Trunks And Both Were Designed With Wire.
The One At The Left Side Is Taller Than The One At The Right And Probably It Could Be The One That I Can Choose To Go In Front But The Trunk At The Right Side Has More Movement.
I Will Wait To See How They Develop And Decide Which Will Be The Principal And Which The Companion And Probably Leaving It Or Working It As Dried Wood.
Half Way Progression
He tree was changed from a big metal recipient to a smaller plastic bag. It was replanted with inclination, leaving the right branch at a lower angle and higher the left branch to give asymmetry.
Three Quarter Progression
The tree was changed to a bonsai pot made in Mexico of fiberglass. This tree was designed only one time.
